With a rocker profile in between the Asylum and the Misfit, the Vision is our signature freestyle-freeride crossover board designed for riders who want one board they can ride aggressively in all conditions. The Vision’s distinct NACA tech laser-cut channeling on the tip and tail yield increased board speed and help lock in the board for added grip, load and pop. From chop, swell and rough open water to glassy slicks and high-flying freestyle, the Vision is a one-board-quiver that won’t hold you back as you take your riding to the next level.
Vision base
The Vision features a .2mm Dura-Light base. This hardened base material is stiff and about half the weight of our traditional base layup. For reference, other 2017 Slingshot base thicknesses are as follows: Refraction (Sam Light pro)- .7mm Dura-Glide base; Misfit- .2mm Dura-lite base; Karolina Pro- .2mm Dura-lite base.
Like all of Slingshot’s twin tips, the Vision is hand-built in the USA, with high-quality materials sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Construction includes a vertically laminated wood core that provides smooth clean flex and the best performance and durability of any core material on the market. New for 2017, Slingshot is employing a carbon-reinforced Bedrock Insert mounting system, which reduces board weight while improving hold strength and overall flex characteristics. Vibrant urethane rails enhance style and durability.
